What it costs

Your first job is free, start to finish: add the work and the photos, send the estimate, turn it into an invoice, send that, and record the payment. Nothing to sign up for and nothing to cancel.

To start a second job, or to change the free job once its invoice has gone out or it’s marked paid, you need Jobsheet Pro: $19.99 a month or $149.99 a year in the US (the App Store shows the price where you are). It is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm, and renews automatically unless you turn it off at least 24 hours before the period ends.

Once a document from the free job has left the app (handed to Mail or the share sheet, even if you cancel, or its preview screenshotted or screen-recorded), that job stays that customer’s. You can still change the work and send the estimate again, but you can’t switch the job to somebody else.

Your subscription

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Jobsheet Pro and cancel there. Jobsheet’s own Settings has a Manage subscription row that takes you to the same place. Jobsheet Pro keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

Can I switch between monthly and yearly?

Yes, in the same place: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Jobsheet Pro, then pick the other plan.

I paid but the app still shows the paywall.

Tap Restore purchases on the paywall, or in Jobsheet’s Settings under About. If that doesn’t do it, make sure you’re signed into the same Apple Account that bought the subscription.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

What happens to my jobs if I stop paying?

Nothing is deleted. Jobsheet becomes a read-only archive: every job, photo, invoice and mileage record stays on your phone to read, you can send any estimate, invoice or receipt again, and you can still send your mileage log to your accountant. You can’t start new jobs, change old ones or record payments until you subscribe again, and then everything is yours to change once more.

Common questions

How do I send an estimate or invoice?

Open the job and tap Send estimate (or Send invoice) at the bottom. You see the PDF first. Tap Email to send it pre-written from Apple’s Mail, or Share for Messages, AirDrop, Gmail, Files or Print. If the customer has no email address yet, Add email puts one on the job.

Email says No email account set up.

Email uses Apple’s Mail app, so it needs an account added to Mail in your iPhone’s Settings — Gmail, iCloud and Outlook all work. Or tap Share instead and send it from the Gmail app, Messages or anything else.

How do I turn an estimate into an invoice?

When the customer agrees, tap Customer said yes, then Turn into an invoice. You can also use the Estimate / Invoice switch on the job. The document number and heading change with it.

How do I put photos under a line of work?

Open the line and take or add its photos there. They print right under that work in the PDF. Photos that aren’t on any line still print, at the end of the PDF.

A photo is under the wrong line.

Tap the photo, then Move to…, and pick the right line — or None to keep it at the end.

A photo is sideways in the PDF.

Tap the photo, then Rotate. The photo itself is turned, so the PDF and the thumbnail always match.

Can my estimates and invoices be in Spanish?

Yes. In Settings, set Estimates and invoices in to Same as this phone, English or Español. It sets what your customer reads: the headings, the totals, the email and the words they sign. Your work and prices print as you typed them. The app itself follows your iPhone’s language.

How do I get my mileage log to my accountant?

Open Mileage and tap Send the log to your accountant. It makes a spreadsheet (CSV) of every trip in the year on screen — date, destination, purpose, business, commuting or personal, miles, the rate and the deduction for business trips, parking and tolls — with the year’s totals at the end, ready to send by Mail or Messages or save to Files. The rates are the IRS figures unless you changed them under Mileage rates.

My drives stop when the app is closed.

In Settings under When you drive, turn on Keep measuring if the app closes, and choose Change to Always Allow when iOS asks. To have drives start by themselves, turn on Detect drives automatically, which also needs Motion & Fitness. It can miss the first minute or two of a drive, so press start yourself when the exact figure matters.

How do I use Jobsheet on my Apple Watch?

If it isn’t on your watch already, open the Watch app on your iPhone and install Jobsheet from Available Apps. On the watch you get today’s jobs with directions, the clock, what you’re owed, and a button to start and stop a drive. Your iPhone does the measuring, so keep it with you; with Keep measuring if the app closes turned on, a drive can start from the watch while the phone is in your pocket.

How do I add the widgets?

Touch and hold your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and choose Jobsheet: Next job, Today, Money, Quick actions or Mileage deduction. Some also fit the Lock Screen, and a running drive shows as a Live Activity.

How do the calendar settings work?

They’re in Settings under Your calendar. Show my Apple Calendar in Schedule puts your events between your jobs and keeps busy times out of the times offered for booking; All-day events block the day decides whether an all-day event takes the whole day. Put booked jobs on my calendar adds each booked job as an event in the calendar you choose. Moving or deleting that event in Calendar moves or unbooks the job, and turning the switch off takes the events off again.

Where are my jobs stored?

On your iPhone. There is no Jobsheet account and no Jobsheet server, which is why the app keeps working with no signal. Your jobs travel in your iPhone backup, so keep that turned on. For a second copy, turn on Back up to my iCloud in Settings under Your data › Backup, then close and reopen the app: your jobs, customers, photos and mileage are copied to your own private iCloud. Your business details and settings travel only in your iPhone backup.

Moving to a new iPhone?

Restoring the new phone from your old phone’s backup brings everything across. If you use Back up to my iCloud instead, turn it on for the new phone too, then re-enter your business details, logo, payment details and settings. Tap Restore purchases to bring your subscription with you.

Speaking a line of work isn’t working.

Jobsheet needs both Microphone and Speech Recognition permission; check Jobsheet in your iPhone’s Settings app. Say what you did, which turns a whole description into lines of work, appears only on iPhones with Apple Intelligence turned on. Speaking is always optional — you can type instead.

How do I change my business details?

Tap Settings at the top of the Jobs screen. Your business name, contact details, license and logo print at the top of every estimate and invoice.
